Brought my family here while on vacation and so happy I did. The service was incredible, the food was absolutely delicious, and we had the best time there. A lady brought my wife and mom out flowers for Mother's Day, say us next to a wood stove which my mom loved, and the chef said he wasn't happy with the size of the fish fillets, so he gave us three instead of two! The attention to detail, customer service, and fish itself was unparalleled. Thank you all for making a quick dinner trip so wonderful for us!
Wonderful service , prompt and efficient, delicious meal of fish and fries. Server , Kristie , was very friendly , courteous and helpful. Nice large eating area with tables well spaced. Very enjoyable!!! Some very interesting and historic pictures adorn the walls.
I had Ches’s fish and chips before. I know it’s good. But every time I eat here, I still feel amazed by its freshness. And I wish I can start eating all over again. The dressing and gravy is so delicious. The fries are just right. The fish is absolutely fresh and delicious. I’ll keep going back. Yummy. 5 stars.

Very fast service. Now have a combo that includes a snowball. The fish and chips are served hot and fresh. A good value in there pricing. I will be back next time in St John's.

On our last night in this beautiful Province of Newfoundland we stopped in at Ches's to have some Fish and Chips. Our Server Kaitlin was absolutely amazing and very friendly. She was working very hard because there were a lot of customers but she always stopped by our table to check in on us. Thank you for a delicious meal.
